1900 hrs Sat 13th June.
This is a picture taken this morning at 0300 EST
as we have not set the clocks back.
![]() You can see how calm the seas are. I'm sorry to
keep whining about the conditions as they are many who would just love the seas
today, in fact they would be wondrful for us if we were going any direction but
East.
Hooray!! It's 1045 and we're beating to
the East at 5 kts 1 reef in the main and 2/3 jib. We must have gotten into the
Azores high.
![]() We are now heading for Lajes, Flores 518 mls to
the east. We have 20 plus gals of diesel (40 hrs running) and plenty of
food and water.
Roll on Lajes and a shower.
Did I mention that there is no shower on the
Henry Wood. which has led us to come up with an interesting game....see who can
stay up wind from the other the longest...wins.
Thanks Presbyterians and Quilters for your
magic.
