280 miles to Flores and 123 the last 24
hrs
An incredible days sail.Could it be the Mariners
Compass from the past pres, of the Wenonah Quilters that brought us these fair
winds just when we needed them?
![]() Sailing 100 degrees true with a moderate swell
on our starboard quarter. Main 2 reefs and 1\2 jib doing 6+ knts toward Flores
like we're on rails.
The GPS tells us another 45 hours to go which
will put us at the Lajes sea bouy late Wed. afternoon. The GPS of course
expects us to maintain course and speed, so we'll have to see how it goes and we
will wait for daylight to go into the harbour.
I can't wait to stand on something which is'nt
rocking and rolling and enjoy a shower.
