Another long day saw us travelling 57 nms in 10 ¾ hours today, sadly mostly on engine. The forecast was wrong yet again. Southerly winds were NW and NE, again on the nose, and what there was hardly filled the sails.

But the scenery after a relatively uninspiring vista yesterday was so photogenic, but not possible to describe adequately in pictures here. But I include a few below.

We took inner passages, cutting through rocks and small islands wherever possible to make the navigation interesting.

Arriving in Broadhaven Bay this evening, we enjoyed the last of the sunshine before the onset of rain and increased wind strengths tomorrow and on the following day. Winds gusting Force 6 and 7 with pouring rain and limited visibility are forecast so we may be here on a visitor’s mooring round the corner from a fisherman’s pier, near a beach for sometime. But the wine stock has not run out yet.

Talbot is boasting about his 2-0 win at backgammon this evening! Is keel hauling an option tomorrow?
