Ian Talbot joined me as new crew member last night, so an early 0615 start this morning set him off to a good start. Once again the wind was on the nose (NW) so we tacked and motorsailed away from Fenit, avoiding the myriad of rocks.

It was to be a long day of reefing, unfurling motor sailing and sailing across some lumpy moderate seas which made for an uncomfortable passage.

Sun, rain, wind and spray - we had them all, but arrived safely in the Aran Islands and grabbed a mooring buoy just outside the harbour in Inishmore. 72.7 nms were covered in 15 hours.
