Sadly my planned start to head off towards Cork via a few small places, to cut the daily mileage to about 25 - 30 nautical miles each day, has faltered through bad weather about to hit us for up to 4 days. Wind force 7, 8 and 9 with wind on the nose (SW) does not bode well for sensible sailing. But, holed up in Kilmore Quay, I could do worse.

Good views, pleasant walks and chatty locals, together with sleep catch up can’t be bad.

I will report again once I am on the move.
