Bequia 9th November
Another stonking sail up from the Tobago
Cays right into the bay at Bequia. Again we found
it much quieter than normal but having
dropped the anchor we were keen to get ashore
and visit our favourite haunt - Marias Cafe
- where we could access our emails whilst
enjoying a cold drink and maybe a tempting
French style lunch? Horrors! It has changed
ownership we find and no Wifi and not the
same friendly staff so we slope off with our tails
between our
legs....
After the usual shopping trip - bits for
the boat and some food we explore further along
the shore for an alternative venue to send
our emails and find something to eat. We have
been to the Gingerbread House before but
didn't realise they had Internet nor had we eaten
here. It turned out to be a superb find
with excellent food and an even better view over the
bay. Alas the Internet is not as fast and
they charge but that didn't spoil the lovely relaxing
meal we had there - our new home from
home....
