Position @ 18.00 with 28nm to run to Porto Da Palmeira on Sal. Lighter winds today means that

we wont raise our anchorage until about 10pm tonight but for the first day have worn shorts and

T shirt albeit with a vest and fleece as the day drew on. Very overcast but noticeably warmer.

Since we crossed the 20 degree line of  latitude we have also come across pods of dolphins

in the morning, as well as flying fish and squids on deck. Only one ship passed last night and

that never closer than 9nm so we appear to have cleared the shipping lanes. Looking forward

to seeing our first Caper Verdian island tomorrow.
