Arrived in deserted anchorage of Golfo Di Teulada at 10.00 hours this morning in grey overcast. Wind had
been light from the SE for the last 12 hours but gusts and rain showers coming from the NW now. The strong
winds from that direction are not due until this evening and we expect to set off again for the Spanish mainland
early tomorrow. Distance around 380nm in a westerly direction which looks fine for the predicted winds for the
next 3 days.
Remember being surprised when we visited this area of Sardinia in 2004 that there is virtually no habitation
despite beautiful scenery and sandy, sheltered beaches. The bay we are in does have a tarmac road just behind
it but not a living soul or building except an ancient fortified tower in a state of ruin. We would have thought it
a developers dream!
