The first leg of our flight north to Dayton Ohio was a very short one of 8 minutes due east to Clermont County airport (I69).

This is the place, where the Shorty’s Pilot Shop (known to many aviation enthusiasts) is located.

On arrival, we were directed to park right in front of the main entrance of the large facility, and were greeted by friendly Shorty’s staff.

Charles, one of the managers offered to give us a guided tour with a Golf cart around the airport, and then the Sales and Distribution Centre, including their Pilot training facility. This is a very impressive set-up indeed.

Of course, we could not leave before we had a look at their show room, and purchased the few maps and charts we needed for our homeward flight through the east of the US and Canada.
