Things are going well on board - the wind that we
encountered yesterday stayed with us through the night and we covered 124 NM in
23 hours. A few jibes were required as it went more astern but our speed has
been maintained. The skipper has started having a go with his sextant just in
case our GPS goes US.
We sailed through a flotilla of Portugese Man O'War
jellyfish this morning; at first sight they look as though they are plastic
bags, but closer inspection revealed what they really were. Daddy and Pippa were
also fortunate enough to see a whale jumping at a range of about 2 miles from
the starboard bow; two very big splashes and great to see.
