Today started at 0600 with deck scrubbing by the 'bikini clad, 30 somethng' crew!   This went well until  0800 hrs when, in order to cool off, we all dived overboard.  At that precise moment, I realised that I was still wearing my specs. Unable to retrieve them, everything has since been a bit of a haze!  So, over to the '30 somethings'.  PS One way or another, I reserve editorial rights with regard to anything detrimental they may say!

After the specs incident we eventually made it to Vis town to stock up with supplies and take onboard fresh water. This proved more difficult than expected!  With our depleted nautical prowess we managed to reverse park, much to the amusement of the locals, and a film crew who just happened to be 'standing by'.   They thought we had done very well to have made it from the Channel Islands!
With Raquel at the helm, we finally made our next destination, Stoncica, Vis, Adriatic Sea!. Unfortnunately, the yacht decided to 'eat' the rib as we arrived, snapping the string (Brian calls it a painter), requiring Brian to dive 5ft under with a b---ock naked (but helpful) Austrian. Thanks!  (A lot of the guys appear to dress in this attire!)  Meanwhile, Alex and Donna swam after the rib and, after some gymnastics, scramble on board.  This was much appreciated by a grateful audience -you know - the ones who appear from nowhere when things go wrong!
With that 'string' around our prop, we were ordered to drop the anchor and attach ourselves to the shore.  Not so easy!!!  Alex and Donna 'set sail' in the rescued rib but found yet another string (Brian called it a warp, or something) rather heavy.  Raquel was passing orders from Brian much to A and D's distress, who were by this time nearly in tears!  Eventually, after Alex had accidently sat on 2 urchins (sea!) and tied the biggest knot in the world (supposed to be a bowline) and after Donna had steered the rib about 2 miles 'the bikini clad 30 something crew' decided it was time for sun bathing!
After G & T's and Rach's generous appero's we were ready for dinner.
We all enjoyed a great lamb meal ashore barbequed under a traditional 'cast iron bell' at the local 'Konoba'.  This was followed by dance lessons - for Donna.
PS Brian now appears to have collapsed from exhaustion, in the cockpit!
R,D, and A - 'the 30 somethings'.

PPS 0230 hrs.  The editor has just come across this blog awaiting 'publication'.  He hadn't realised that the 'bikini clad 30 somethings' had found the well ordered nautical manouvres of the day, so stressful.  In the morning he will suggest to them, that to build on this valuable experience, they might attend an RYA 'compenent crew course' - in UK waters - in November! or December!  He would also point out that in this region a lot of the 'gals', but not the bikini clad crew (shame?),  wear matching attire!
