Day 9
Matchmaker set sail from her anchorage at
Chatham Bay, bound for Roundabout Reef on the East side of Union Island.
The wind was a bit too strong and the reef did not provide the
adequate shelter required. Instead, Matchmaker took her sights across the
channel towards Palm Island where she dropped anchor for lunch.
Palm Island is a tiny island about half a mile
long, surrounded by a coral reef which stretches seaward on all sides
except the west side which has a perfect white sand beach along a
sheltered arched bay.
The crew began to unwind. Peter stayed on board and
tackled another chapter of Churchill, Tori swam the length of the beach and
back, whilst Kingy and Nick checked out the Coral Reef. Tom asked
Daniella for her hand in marriage, and produced a charming ring from
the trusted speedo swimming shorts! The answer was a good one! As Daniella and
the crew digested the news, a bottle of champagne was opened and the VIPs
in the UK were told the good news!
Cheers ! ....Here is to a great couple and a
fantastic future!
Matchmaker sailed over to Petit St.
Vincent where she spent the the rest of the evening and had a settled
anchorage. Kingy and Nick cooked up a
cracking spicy pasta which finished off a great day for all!
