Angra Marina Terceira 38:39.2N  27:13.0W
Intention: to sail to Cascais, Lisbon (833NM)

We enjoyed 3 relaxing days in Horta Marina with the opportunity to maintain Starcross, revictual, relax, explore and socialise including a pleasant supper party on board with the crews of Skylla (Simon, David and John) and Ocean Wanderer (Matt, Gordon and Paul), our radio companions for the passage.  Della's home-made lasagne followed by a local chocolate cake and rounded off with white port made for a memorable evening.  The following night we dined aboard Skylla, with David conjuring up an imaginative meal.  We left our mark with the Starcross logo and our names on the wall, and admired the many others including fellow REYC yacht Cleone and family yacht Robin.

We departed Horta at first light on Sunday and with little wind motored east to Terceira, mooring in the marina at Angra do Heroismo at dusk.  We were fortunate to see several species of dolphin and sea bird together with 2 whales on the passage.  Angro, like St George's in Bermuda, is a World Heritage site and we look forward to exploring it.

Thereafter, the plan is to proceed to mainland Europe as quickly as possible.
