Intention: to sail to Horta on Faial (215NM)
Following receipt of a local Azores weather forecast, the threat from the
Low to our North appears to have diminished and we have reset our course for
Horta. With full white sails, we enjoyed a lovely reach through the night
with stars again visible to steer by. At dawn the Genoa was poled out and
we continue towards our destination at a satisfactory speed in a
comfortable sea and the sun shining, with all aboard much refreshed after a
good night's sleep.
Simon's supper of pork chops with a garlic white sauce on brown rice
and peas followed by peaches and cream rounded off an excellent day
yesterday.
Arrival in
Horta tomorrow now appears probable and we are all looking forward to showers
and a few drinks. Ocean Wanderer should arrive today and we await her
brief on arrival formalities for re-entry into the EU with interest.
Having experienced Caribbean arrangements we are probably well up to what ever
awaits! |
