Ross has provided the following photo. It appears Paul is expecting rain??

For those not following the current leaderboard the position on 3rd
December sees Starcross move up the leaderboard (now 106/166) and also
have an ETA of Christmas day! (Please note that this is likely to fall as
their speed increases from the 3.3kn they were doing at 6am)

Race Position 106
Name Starcross
TCF 0.932
Start Time 21/11/2010 13:00
Last update 03/12/2010 06:00
DTF (NM) 1767.4
VMG* (Knots) 3.3
Estimated finish time (UTC) 25/12/2010 18:52
Estimated finish time (UTC corrected) 23/12/2010 10:59

For those not familiar with the details, the TCF is an adjustment factor
to make all boats of all speeds equal. The factor is multiplied to the
finish time, so a boat with 1.100 would have 10% added to their time (a
fast boat), a boat with 0.900 (a slower boat) would have their time
reduced by 10%, lastly a boat with 1.000 would have their time on the
water equal to their corrected finish time. Starcross has 0.932 so their
actual corrected time will be 93.2%.

It is also worth noting that due to some competitors using their engines
that there will be some adjustments at the end to penalise these boats
adding time, the ultimate aim is that any boat using engine should not be
able to win the race (this is not allowed for any of the non cruising
competitors).
