After a restful day with the opportunity to explore Bangor and an early dinner prepared by Rory (who also knocked up an impressive brunch), we slipped at 1740UT and  headed across the North Channel and into the Clyde.  The fluky winds from Belfast Lough into the North Channel requiring occasional engine use to maintain speed settled down by 2100UT as the sun set.  We then enjoyed a pleasant sail through the night at over 7 knots in flat seas and clear skies with a full moon astern to lighten the way; a great end to the final phase of the journey through England, Wales, Eire, Northern Ireland and Scotland (and the Scillies!).

By sunrise the wind had dropped and we motored the remaining few miles up the Clyde, noting how beautiful the scenery is - pity it's not warmer!  We received a friendly welcome at Kip Marina with its excellent facilities and good rail link to Glasgow.
