Distance run L'Aber Wrac'h - Falmouth: 127NM
1200UT Temperatures: Air 18, Sea ?
Intention: to sail to Helford River and then on to Scillies (St Mary's)

After a relaxing day in L'Aber Wrac'h, we sailed overnight to Falmouth.  The expected north easterly backing northerly 5 - 6 lasted to the early hours of Saturday morning and from mid-day we completed the passage under engine.

After passing Lizard Point and rather inconveniently in the middle of supper, we were boarded by the UK Border Agency in their warlike attire who proceeded to check us into the UK including taking swabs (we have heard no more so assume there were no illegal substances aboard).  The 3 officers were professional and thorough, and carried out their duties in a friendly and courteous manner.  This was not the welcome expected but it is reassuring to see that our shores are being protected.

We secured alongside Port Pendennis Marina at 2000UT, just over 8 months after leaving UK.  To celebrate, we enjoyed some local beer, a Cornish pastie and fish and chips.
