Good morning all.....0630 here again. Well we've had a good slog for the last 24 hours. Wind has been consistently blowing SW 33 gusting up to 37 knots, 4 metre breaking waves. We're reefed right in and holding a course to wind of 100 apparent which is giving us a COG of 90-120. We're averaging 10 knots SOG with speed up to 13 knots surfing down the waves. VMG is good as were heading East now. There's lot of spray coming over and waves breaking against the boat which sounds like a bomb going off down below, and every so ofter were skidding sideways down the waves ending up with water coming over the stern which is entertaining! Private Brownwater has been back to his usual tricks of creating havoc in the heads! He forgot to close one of the hatches....queue rather a lot of sea water entering! Slightly different conditions to the carribean...defo atlantico!

All is well on board, the ice-trucker made a great veg pasta soup yesterday which everyone enjoyed....how the hell he managed to make a soup in these conditions is beyond all of us!

So the depression should have passed us now and we should expect to see winds decrease and veer NW, will check with today's forecast now when sending our emails.

Pic of the day: Some of the waves behind us....the camera never really shows how big they are....but believe me they're big!

Shalan ooot!
