Good morning dear readers. 0600 hours here and sailing along well with full main and genoa. Wind variable from 15 to 20 knots. We reefed the main briefly for an hour to let a nasty looking squal pass in front of us as we didn't fancy an early morning shower just yet, but back to normal now. We'll be on a course of 070 for the rest of the day probably and then head east this evening if the new forecast remains the same.

So after our morning debacle yesterday, we got everything fixed and sorted and continued on our way. The wind picked up and was blowing a constant 20 knots with gusts up to 26. It was right behind us and we were bombing along  doing up to 13.8 knots....nice! We thought we'd have no chance of catching any fish at that speed.....but low and behold....one tuna clearly had his weetabix that morning and chomped down on our new lure (a lovely green squidy!) It was a precise military operation...boat stopped and about a 20kg onboard in minutes. Private Brownwater rustled into action and a selection of seared and sashimi yellowfin tuna with cous cous was served an hour later....well done sir!

Winds remained good throughout the evening although there was a 3 metre swell on the after quarter which continued to throw the boat around.

So that's all to report for now....off to have some coffee and all-bran for breakfast. The vegan ice-trucker proclaimed the supermarkets had no normal UHT milk when we did the provisioning, so instead stuck a load of almond milk and hemp milk in the trolley. I've chosen to add hemp milk to my coffee and all-bran most mornings although can confirm its had none of the desired side effects!

That's all for now...I'll leave you with a picture of Tomato and Brownwater....proud as punch with their catch!
