2 weeks at sea and we are just over 400 nautical miles from land fall. After
a week of fantastic winds and great sailing ( 210 plus nm per day ) we have
lost the wind completely and are currently under engine and motor sailing.
The fleet are so spread out now that we haven't seen another boat or heard
anything on the VHF for over a week.
We were hoping to arrive in the Marquesas on Monday afternoon, but with the
current lack of wind it is looking more likely to be early Tuesday now.
All is well on board, we've run out of fresh vegetables and salad completely
now and we've resorted to frozen and tinned - keeping the scurvy at bay!
I try to be creative with the food we've got left , but very much looking
forward to eating a meal that I haven't cooked.
Also looking forward to a large glass of chilled vino blanco when we get
there!!
