We left Antigua early Monday morning straight to Guadaloupe, about 40 miles.  It was very windy, squally and with huge swells, not the gentle down wind sailing that I was promised but I have been assured that this will all change when we head west! We spent one day in the North of the island at a place calld Deshaies which is where Death in Paradise is filmed. Being wholly owned by the French the big advantage of Guadaloupe is the French food and wines. The next day we sailed down the lee of Guadaloupe to the south, about another 40 miles to some little islands called Les Saintes. A really quaint little town with pretty painted wooden houses and a really laid back feel to it. We had a fabulous meal here.
The next day we had a short hop down to Dominica, an island which we've been to before but have never travelled inland. This time we took a half day excursion to hike in the tropical rain forest and up to a waterfall (not a good idea in flip flops!).
Now preparing for our first long sail about 460 miles to Bonaire, all being well we will arrive Sunday midday (UK time)
