ACTIVITIES:
After a long and hard decision about what to do with this weather, it was decided to just press on to the Caribbean with the limited diesel we have aboard. Through a feat of extraordinary engineering, the crew assembled and erected the Code Zero sail. A pole had to be bolted on while the person doing the bolting (Rean) was in the water.

This has made a tremendous difference and we are trucking along at over 8 kts in 9 kts of true wind. We are heading in the right direction too! We have 270 litres of fuel left. This will last about 77 hours if we motor. We had better keep the wind or we will run out of fuel and just have to drift around waiting for the wind to find us, instead of going hunting for it!

We have resigned ourselves to fact that we will not make this passage in record time and will just try to enjoy the freedom of being out in the elements enjoying the weather.
