Position: 38:36.24N 42:19.74W
Speed: 7.5 Knot

We are getting a bit chilly lately. The water temperature is down to 16C! We are now wearing the heavy weather gear to go out on deck and change sails.

It rained Cats and Dogs this morning and you could not see a think beyond the boat. At least it got a good wash, the salt was starting to build up a bit.

We were tootling along nicely last night at around 10 Knots for at least 8 hours, with the help of the first real and constant wind we have had yet! We are now going a bit slower, as the kite is up and we are going almost downwind, which is the slowest point of sail and we are only doing around 8 knots.

We found a squid on deck this morning, Matt squished it by mistake, as he stood on it. We were joined by at least 30 Dolphins that followed us for about half an hour and then swam off into the distance, we got some video of the event.

All the cool snacks are almost finished and so is the bread. We do however have plenty of chicken, beef, and all the veg in the world (frozen of course)

Rean had to replace a faulty float switch, as it was so corroded it shorted out and the bilge pump was on continuously. No more major breakages to repport.

We have decided to change course a little and go directly to the Canaries and not stop in the Azores. Hopefully this will save us a day or two in time and we will get good wind all the way. We really have been unlucky with the wind.
