ACTIVITIES:
REAN:
Had a good 4 hours sleep. Has been given full fat milk in his coffee as a treat, he will be announcing the breakfast menu shortly. He is busy calculating how much fuel we have in order to calculate how much rowing Ed will have to do if the wind does not pick up!!
JAN:
Was woken up for his watch ONE HOUR EARLY by the author of this Blog (JP), thankfully he is too drowsy to complain too much, so is being given coffee
JULES:
My night watch was from 10:00-01:00 which I very much enjoyed, there was a large cruise ship in the area which was moving around slowly, eventually it decided to clear off. I kept and eye on the wind shifts and attempted to trim the sails, thankfully everyone else was asleep so no one was observing my efforts.
ED:
Back in his cabin after his shift, maybe he knows he is going to be rowing... who knows

Good Morning - This is the start of Day 3
We had an uneventful night, for the majority of the evening we were able to sail without assistance of the engines and the wind was blowing nicely. By 07:30 the wind seemed to have dropped off, probably as we were in the shadow of Hierro (the last island we will pass before we head off into the Atlantic, The sun is now rising nicely and there are a few clouds in the sky).
Note: We are setting our watches backward by 20 minutes at the end of each day so we should be on Caribbean time by the time we get there.
