Day 2

Top Secret
Feel The Magic Yacht Vacations
Sat 12 Jun 2010 15:32
Position: 23:11.35N 64:51.66W
Speed 7.4 Knots
This is the morning of our second day out of
Tortola. It has been pretty uneventful since the last report. The sea is pretty
flat with a swell of only half a metre coming from the east. We have had
light winds of about 8 Knots all morning and we are not going very fast at all,
so we started the port engine for 2 hours or so in order to charge the batteries
and give us a bit more speed.
A yacht crossed our path earlier the morning
and a ship only a few minutes ago. Otherwise it is a wonderful day and the
crew moral has improved as Mari is no longer feeling sea sick. Matt washed the
dishes this morning and will help Mari to repack the fridge, as the freezer is
acting like a fridge and we are going to loose all the frozen food unless
we act soon.
Another flying fish committed suicide last
night, and we found the body this morning. To dry for sushi. We determined that
the cause of death was blunt force trauma. We ran the air-conditioning yesterday
for a few hours while charging the batteries and Matt said that it was the best
4 hours sleep he has ever had on a boat. The coffee I made matt was the best cup
of coffee he has ever had..... Matt needs to get out more...
We are going to download the weather files in a few
minutes.
