Yesterday we went into the town of Horta to go find a chandler and some supplies for the last leg of our trip.  Rean found a few items at a hardware store and later in the afternoon he found most of the other items he needed from a very small chandlery.  The town seemed quite pleasant with not many shops.  What was very interesting were the paintings done by all the sailors over the years all along the marina walls and walkways, apparently wishing for fair winds.  Some were very artistic.

We went back into town later the afternoon for some lunch at Peter's Cafe Sport which we believe were the place to go and were voted best pub/restaurant in the Azores.  We are not quite sure why as we waited for almost 2 hours for okay food.  After lunch Rean went of to the chandler whilst Matt and I bought the last of the supplies.  Back at the boat the boys fixed engines and I cleaned out the fridge.

We finally set sail around 8pm.  I of course, almost immediately felt sick again so I staid outside as long as possible before going to bed.  This morning I'm happy to report I am fine again, like Matt says, I'm strong like Russia.  We got a lot of wind last night and the guys were averaging around 12 knots.  At 5am this morning I heard a commotion outside - another sail tore, the big spinnaker.  Luckily we have two of those.  The sailmakers are going to love us!   It is Rean... he got so exited about the first little bit of wind in a few weeks, he goes and tears another sail. This one was his fault, the sail should have come down or been let out a bit at those apparent wind speeds. He was really upset, as he liked the sail, as it set so well.

At the moment the wind has died down substantially and we're getting around 6.5 knots.  We've got the other spinnaker out and all seems well so far. This one is a bit bigger than the one that tore, so if we are going to head directly downwind, then it should give us a little extra speed.... maybe 0.0125 knots
