We are motoring towards Faial in the Azores. We decided that we would save no time by avoiding the Azores and sailing directly to the Canaries, as there is a ridge of high pressure sitting over us at the moment, and this has been around for a day or so and will persist for another 2 to 3 days anyway. Sooo we decided to head for Faial and fill up with diesel so that we can motor past the high, which will save us a day. The stop will only cost us half a day if we time our arrival well.

Nothing to report, other than a few dolphins arrived and swam with us for a few minutes again, and there are lots and lots of 'Blue Bottles' or 'Portuguese Man-o-wars' floating around in the ocean.

No wind as usual, and about 1/3 of a tank of diesel left (130 Litres) after I decanted the 4 Jerry cans we had on board. We need to use the fuel to get to Faial, so that we can buy more fuel to get to Lanzarote.
