Day 11

Top Secret
Feel The Magic Yacht Vacations
Mon 21 Jun 2010 16:50
Our position:  37:39.77N 55:21.86W
We've been sailing now for about 24 hours without the motors at an average speed of about 8 knots, which is good news for us.  We pulled out the spinnaker again this morning and the motion on the boat is very calm and relaxed.  I stuffed up a bit when we pulled out the sail when I forgot to put the rope through a block and the rope got all knotted and tangled.  Luckily we managed to sort that out and got the sail up without any further hitches. Won't forget to do that again!

Yesterday we didn't do much other than read and occasionally trim the sails.  Matt was very disappointed that there were no boats on his watch last night to play chicken with - it was quiet and boring.

Rean fixed the fan in Matt's cabin and the drawer in the galley which has been driving me up the wall.  I cleaned some stainless steal this morning and now we are getting ready to take our various books and lie back and relax.

Rean has decided to take over from Ray (the autopilot) as he seems to be suffering from fatigue and obviously needs a rest.  We are sure he will recover soon and take over and get us to where we are going just fine, albeit not as fast as Rean can.  Right now both Rean and Matt are taking turns to helm (drive) the boat and see how fast they can do it, I think they are so happy there is wind, they are trying to get every possible knot out of it.

Kimi and Jon-Jon, Dad is REALLY missing you guys a lot and said to say he loves you LOADS!!!  I miss you too, but your father is pining on this side and constantly wondering how you are and what you are up to xxx.
