Another 4am kick off - pretty breezy today but we made it OK. We stopped last night at Les Saintes and saw"Friends" a Dutch boat with a young family that we met in Portugal in the summer and in Lanzarote! We are back in St Pierre the old capital of Martinique that got blitzed by a volcano. Having seen the much more recent devastation of Montserrat it makes more sense why this place is still on its knees. A lot of early starts and a lot of sailing in the past few days but we have now completed the longest legs and can relax a little. The dreaded Turbo gets checked out tomorrow at Case Pilot - a small town 10 miles further south of here. Oh and we had a pod of Dolphins to welcome us into Martinique - about 20 of them at one point all charging our bow!

The beach / coast is very steeply shelving here, within 10 metres of distance horizontally we went from a depth of 35m to 10m. A bit tricky for anchoring but we have a stern anchor out to hold us away from the beach and will sleep with something crossed I'm sure.

Baguettes and Customs in the morning!

Some photo's from Cousteau National Park and our anchorage here..
