This morning we wave goodbye to Baiona and Spain. We had a great time here. Lovely town.
Yesterday we went shopping - not really news worthy, other than the logistics of finding a taxi to get back to our dinghy, unloading 2 weeks of shopping down slippy stone steps and then all of us slowly motoring back out to Pau Amma in reasonably large waves, all whilst trying to keep the supplies dry! Not quite the Ocado experience but 10 times as fun.

We looked around the "Pinta" the ship that Columbus ventured in. Fascinating to see the space / lack of and general conditions for life aboard. I hadn't realised that they captured several indigenous "red Indians" and bought them back on the ship as trophies of their discovery. Most of them died on the journey back however due to illness and diet. Baiona was the first landing spot for the Pinta.

Sad to hear the news of the unrest at home and the further financial problems. Not good. Hope everyone is OK.
I don't think the Euro will survive much longer - maybe we'll have to trade and barter? We had better start catching some fish.

PS Hugh & Steve - thanks for the tip on the Restaurant - the Ham & Cheese spot (with the rather large patron slicing the Hams) was very good.
