We arrived in Leixoes yesterday after a lively run down the coast in 30knots of wind. We had a decent swell so were able to surf quite a bit, its great fun getting up on a big wave and rushing forwards at 11.5 knots….

The weather has moderated and after 4 days of incredible heat and sun, we have the relief of a bit of cloud cover. There is even talk of a little rain overnight tonight.

Leixoes is a working port so we are squeezed into a small marina at the north. The main attraction here is the bus into Porto, the 507 will take us into Porto later this morning and we will seek out the Port cellars and delights of Porto and report back to you later.

The plan is to head off tomorrow morning to cross 41:00N.
