A typical day on Mustique?!

Yesterday we noticed some cracking on the keel which is cause for some minor concern. We await feedback from X-Yachts as to whether or not we need to haul out here and fix it, or if it will last til we get out in the UK... There is also Stress Cracking around the top of the Rudder where the stock goes in. Again, we await feedback, however, the initial response was that this "can happen" and is not likely to be covered by the 2 year warranty!! I hope that there will be a more considered answer shortly.
Other than that and a new water leak which triggers the bilge pump a little too often, the boat is still afloat. Having said that we have only sailed 70 miles since the Atlantic so not a true test yet.
New Years Eve - we will celebrate with Dinner on Pau Amma with Nick & Hannah followed by a trip ashore to Basils Bar. We all thought the $135 for the "buffet" (excluding drinks) was a bit out of budget for unemployed Brits.
The wind picked up over night and we had some amazing squalls. Short Sharp bursts of mayhem, I am pleased to report that this morning all is well again and blue skies prevail.
Anyway! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL. I wonder what 2012 will bring. 2011 saw me leaving my role as MD of Bart and taking up the challenge of the Atlantic and the relaxation of this cruise of the Caribbean. I hope further progress on my back pain reduction will come and that if not I continue to learn to live with it. Hopefully by the time I get back to the UK I will be able to work full time (and find something engaging) again.
Lots of love to all and best wishes for 2012.
