We had a windless chug down the "Silver Coast" today in glorious sunshine. The coast is 50 miles of uninterrupted sandy beach and dunes - it literally sparkles from the sea. Ria de Aviero punctuates the dunes and is an estuary made up of canals / rivers and salt marshes. We are anchored just off Sao Jacinto, this small and attractive seaside resort sits right next to a military air base. There is a ferry up to the town of Aviero which we might take tomorrow. We can't go that far upriver as there are some power cables that we would hit with our mast. The boys were in the water swimming within 10 minutes of our arrival!
We saw dolphins on our way down here and managed to catch a solitary mackerel...
Forecast is for more sun and wind to pick up again. Perfect!
