1. Said goodbye to my georgeous wife Frankie and my wonderful boys. I am looking forward to seeing them already. My heart sank when I left the airport, only temporary relief was found in the hardware store...

2. Fitted a water filter so we can safely drink our tank water.

3. Researched "micron" levels for the above.

4. Chased the fuel system air leak until I nearly went mad. I hope that eventually I tracked it down to a split rubber washer in the fuel / water trap. Crazy design - but that's not a surprise anymore. Its too late to run the engine long enough to find out if it's fixed so I'll test again in the am.

5. Stripped and serviced one of the "jabsco" sea toilets. Whilst doing this I was trying to decide if dealing with poo is better or worse than diesel. I decided poo is better as it washes off easier.

6. Went to see an uber efficient german doctor who got very excited about my ear infection and very nearly burst ear drum - so much so he had to call in his nurse to show it off. I now have a strict regime of nose spray, ear drops and antibiotics to follow. Impressively he wants to see me Tuesday to check progress.

7. Rushed around and found the only well stocked pharmacy on the island.

8. Written up my longish list of boat jobs for the coming week.

9. Went to see Mike on Reparee who was possibly feeling more full of cold and bugs than me! Mike taught me all I know about diesel engines and being on 'tother side if the marina has his own ear ache in the form of the singer at "Lani's".

All in all a strange day but the old philosophy of keeping busy seems to be the answer.

Night all.
