We hired a car yesterday and toured round St Barts. A busy but attractive island. Driving was a bit scary - narrow roads and spirited driving from all.

Anse Colombier is great - loads of turtles swimming past the boat. Snorkelling here is Fair to Good. Some pics of yesterdays snorkelling...

Sooth Trunk Fish (we think although the marking are different to others we have seen)

Cuttlefish

Today we are off to Gustavia again to check out with Customs and then stock up a bit. Tonight we are going to attempt to get to Barbuda - about 90 miles to windward of us. Tricky navigating the reef when we get there so we want to have the morning sun.

The Turbo on the Volvo has started to fail - oil leaking into the engine compartment from the vent hole. This is the second time this has happened - hardened blog / Pau Amma followers will recall that we delayed our departure from Plymouth in July last year waiting for a new turbo - it finally got fitted in Lisbon after hassling Volvo and X-Yachts daily for 6 weeks. Lets see what happens this time - clearly something is very wrong for the engine to blow 2 turbo's in less than a year. Very frustrating.

Hope all is well with everyone - we are looking forward to catching up and seeing everyone again.
