Typically the wind is now SOUTH of EAST. We are hoping that it will move back to the NE by the 13th March which is our planned departure date from the BVIs - we want to get to St Barts which is pretty much due ESE of here 100 nautical miles. Anyway, we shall enjoy our time here and not concern ourselves too much with that! We had planned to snorkel on RMS (Royal Mail Ship) Rhone today but the waves in the ideal anchorage were a bit much. The wreck is meant to be superb for snorkelling and diving. With luck there will be a report on that tomorrow.

Peter island is a strange place in that it is private and going ashore is very limited. We had a nice walk along the beach but it was a bit littered with fisherman's old nets to be great. Mind you - after Savannah Bay we have to measure beaches to different standards.

Anyway - the BVIs have lived up to the hype so far although we have yet to find anything noticeably British about them!
