It was quite an experience sailing up the west coast of Montserrat yesterday. Seeing the ruined city of Plymouth was very sad, yet fascinating at the same time, the many many ash and lava flows have covered the place completely.

Today we explored inland and saw the damage the Volcano has done and the changes to the topography of the island. In places the coastline has increased by over a mile.

Tomorrow we get up early for the sail to Nevis. Another race with Sibilation; another 2 hour head start for them as we enjoy breakfast.

Here are some pictures from Montserrat:-

The city of Plymouth is buried under the grey ash and lava flow.

Georges Tuna - on Rod and Line!

This is the top of a 3 story house that was set on the side of the Golf Course. Strange to be standing at the new ground level but on the roof.

Sand Pau Amma - Happy on land and at sea.

This afternoon we swan into a really cool cave where fruit bats live - we forgot the camera though - Doh!

That's all for now folks - more from St Kitts & Nevis in the next few days.
