Nutmeg was pretty much wiped out in 2004 with Hurricane Ivan.
Recently the crop has been re-establishing itself and although the volumes available are not what they were, the knowledge is still here and availability is possible.
I attach some photo's of our tour of the processing plant in Grenville that we visited today.
Great fun and reminiscent of my many previous visits to spice factories around the world.

Combating Aflatoxin at the factory gate. We also saw the Nut - Med set up. Its a big thing here.

Is it time for the re-establishment of a Nutmeg trade to the UK from Grenada? Probably time to start working on it.
