We had a great sail to the San Blas islands – also known as Guna Yala – arriving rather earlier than anticipated but not quite early enough to make it into the anchorage in daylight.  We stooged around off the islands for the night and entered the channel to Porvenir as the sun was rising.   Customs and Immigration formalities took an hour, everything was very friendly and, having paid our money, we were free to go.   We took the dinghy across to Wichubhuala and wandered around the town, bought a souvenir mola and some delicious local bread before returning to Ocean Rainbow, weighing anchor and setting off for this anchorage to await the arrival of Carango and her crew.
