After the festival in Vureas Bay, we moved just a few miles to Waterfall Bay

And yep, it's got a waterfall right next to the bay.  Cue irresistably cheesy photo.

The women put on a display of 'water music' for us: another Banks Islands speciality where they beat out a surprisingly rythymic tune with their hands in the water.

And we eat crayfish... again...

Next stop, the awesomely beautiful Reef Islands, off the north end of the Banks.  Just look at that huge lagoon...  Good for one thing, for sure:

...yeah...

...kitesurfing!

And the snorkelling was impressive too...

... if you weren't too worried by the evil looking sting rays.

Final stop in the Banks was the awesome island of Ureparapara, with its anchorage deep inside the volcano's crater.

Chief Nicholson is very much in charge of the village...

... and organised a guide to take us up to the crater rim, along with some other yachtie friends that had come up from the festival.

The sweating was certainly worth it.

There she is, anchored in front of the village - our furthest point north on the trip.
