Final Countdown.... T minus 2 days

We've been back up in Opua (35:18.9S
174:07.3E), in the Bay of Islands where we bought the boat 2 months ago, for a
week now. The main activity has been fighting a continuous battle against
legions of lists, which keep multiplying and getting longer...
For a while it all looked like it was
getting way out of control. But now many bits and pieces have been
fixed/bought/adjusted, a monstrous hire-car-suspension-breaking supermarket
shop has been somehow crammed on to the boat (how do you start to shop for
the next 6 months.... we still don't know!), and we're starting to feel
ready.
Roll on leaving the harbour, pointing
our bows north (along with the 32 other boats on the rally we're joining for the
10 day passage), and making for tropical Tonga...
Just 2 days to go, the weather is
currently looking good to leave as planned on Saturday. Nail biting,
exciting, anxiety-ridden, pretty stressed... Watch this
space.
