Sorry for the radio silence folks - we have been having just too much of a lovely time up in Vava'u.
The trade winds have properly kicked in and so we've had some lovely sailing over the last few days and, much to Tom's joy, also managed a few days kite surfing!

However, we are now setting off on the next adventure and heading to Fiji this morning. Chris (van Tulleken) has come to join us for this leg and has already surpassed himself as crew by catching four large squid for our dinner this evening (beating our previous record most annoyingly!).  We have been catching quite a few skipjack tuna though and Tom is determined to crack out the massive lure he bought in the fishing shop on this ocean passage - hoping for a monster mahi mahi.

This trip should take us about 4-5 days so we should be in Savu Savu early next week.  It is looking like we will have easterly winds of 15-20 knots which will be pretty dead downwind.  Not quite ideal but should hopefully get us there.

We are having a few issues getting the satellite phone to send emails so we may not be able to update the blog often during the passage.
