It looks like we're leaving tomorrow. Although we almost didn't... We still had a lot to do a couple of days ago when late in the evening I was doing final checks on the engine and discovered a small leak on the circulation pump. Not something you want to set off for a 6 month voyage with. After much calling around, the pump was sent down to Auckland overnight, rebuild this morning, and collected by Mark who flew up to join us as crew today. It has been put back on the engine... and seems to be working... phew...

So, a bit of last minute scramble to finish the stowing away etc - but, unbelievably, we're ready... the weather is looking good for the next few days (southerlies to power us north)... so if all looks good first thing tomorrow, we will indeed be casting off for 12 or more days on the briney...
