Jeff and I arrived here in Port Ginesta
41:15.423N 1:55.287E on wednesday 5thSeptember, having had a good trip from
Port Napoleon with a North Westerly pushing us most of the way across the
Gulf of Lion then a strong South Westerly head wind made
us change our course and we ended up in Port de la Selva.Must not complain
its hot and sunny, most days it 30 deg.
Managed to sail the Tinker in Port Selva bay
and go for a swim. The water is still cold at 19deg C, this was solved in Arenys
de Mar, where the yacht club had its own 20metre pool and yes we had to use it a
lot.
Young Jeff flew back from Barcelona last night and
I am just awaiting Lynn to arrive tomorrow night 7th September so we can set off
south to Alicante and Cartagana. This is going to be a long trip, as its
straight across the Gulf of Sant Jordi and Gulf of Valencia to Cabo de la Nao
and then down the coast to Cartagana. About 200 miles in all so an overnight
voyage.
Still getting to grips with this Sat Phone system
for email. If you get it wrong costs a fortune. Had comms port issues with the
laptop. No I don't understand either!! Anyway it works
now.
