Two new records

This afternoon had some brilliant sailing downwind
under parasailor alone and when we took it down at 1830 had done 33.5hrs ( a
record) non stop with it up and clocked an amazig 9kts surfing yesterday
afternoon (fastest KoB has gone under current owner). Now still doing about 6kts
average on a cloudy night with main and twin headsails.
Big thank you to Graham for the weather reports and
advice and Chris for the group position update, will look at the latter in the
morning. The ARC weather reports are hugely confusing.
Wather here is beng affected by a low trough which
we think that we might have come through the worst of because we seem to be back
in the trades. Yesterday afternoon one of our radio contacts who we should beat
was further north doing no speed when we were doing 8kts so we seem to be better
ositioned.
Had some nice warm rain yesterday afternoon and
still in shorts and T shirt all night with the spraycover down - still
warm even so and down below is getting a little sticky!
On the food front, the meat in the fridge is still
holding out (chile con carne for main meal yesterday). The parasailor eliminates
so much role cooking etc become much much easier.
Spotted 2 stowaways yesterday afternoon - despite
all efforts we have got cocokroaches, so once we have all the fresh food used up
will have to have a campagin of clean and spray but the cleaning bit is not
going to be easy due to the motion.
All for now ta ta
