Slow Sunday

A very odd day.

Firstly low winds carried through from the night and then a huge train of heavy rain clouds formed around us leading off to the north west. Dodged through under motor and using the radar to track the biggest activity to find a SW erly the other side! reached at about  5 knots until late afternoon when another train of similar clouds started to form. Motored again but this time got caught in very very heavy rain.

Got through that an then absolutely zero wind again so motored into the night to try and get clear of the system.

Finished the day having cheese and buscuits in the cockpit motoring slowly along and recalculating our deisel reserve.

Looking behind us we had a fantastic show of lightening in the clouds.

This ARC could be a record slow one but we still have fresh meat in the fridge and fresh potatoes, carrots and fruit, lots of tins. The first water tank ran dry this afternoon which leaves 2 more and the watermaker's output and we have enough desel to last for our worst projections.
