Lynn arrived in Barcelona late Sunday night with me telling her as we drove back to KIR, we are going leave tomorrow for Moraira ,Costa Blanca, the weather looks good. She was brilliant despite a horrible cold. We got KIR prepared and headed off for our potentially 30 hours at sea, and yes this means overnight.

The weather was very kind when we set off at 1100hrs, with an Easterly Force 2/3 and very little sea. Apart from the wind increasing to Easterly force 4 in the night and then dying away at dawn we had an idyllic crossing. As we approached Cabo De la Nao the wind increased to a force 5 from the north which was perfect apart from a very sloppy sea.

Lynn managed a couple of night watches on her own, apart from the radar glowing in the corner of the cabin for potential ships. The gulf of Valencia is quite empty apart from near Valencia and the islands of Columbrettes.

We arrived here in Moraira at about 1430 after 27hours at sea, we both did well especially Lynn.A good long sleep after a well deserved meal ashore.
