It's now Saturday afternoon, this morning was the final skipper's briefing with details of the start and finish procedures, and an update on the weather which looks good, trade winds for the first couple of days down towards the Cape Verde Islands.

All of the meat and veg arrived last night but we forgot to ask for 4x3 chicken breasts and have a big lump of 12 frozen and vacuum packed chicken bits which is going to be an interesting cooking challenge when it defrosts!

Going out for our last meal ashore tonight.

Tomorrow we will leave the marina about 12 for a 1300hrs start which should be fun with 250 boats all trying to get out of the marina and to the line at the same time. Staying inshore after the start to get the best of the acceleration winds and than south to miss the wind shadow of the island.
