Vilamoura is a very pleasant marina set in a purpose built leisure complex – 5 golf courses, Boss, Benetton and restaurants galore but where’s the supermarket?  I’m sure these resorts have their place but they feel very artificial so we’ll be happy to move on.  We managed to remember to change clocks back one hour so we’re operating on the same time zone as the UK for the first time since leaving for Greece last September.  Caught the bus to Faro to admire the old citadel and hunt the nesting storks.  I was expecting to catch a glimpse of one if we were lucky but we enjoyed a leisurely lunch in Cathedral Square with storks soaring effortlessly above us as well as all these sitting on their nests.
