Another Sunday

The sun is still beaming on us so we take our lunch and hike up to the Upper Rock.  Warm work but I know I’ll get no sympathy as I hear it’s cold in the UK.  It feels very poignant looking out over the town and the harbour as the guns fire to mark the Remembrance Sunday silence.  You see the signs of warfare and defence structures everywhere here and it’s a real reminder of its strategic position over the centuries and the sacrifice made by so many people.  On a lighter note, the views are superb and I’m so sorry I forgot to take the camera AGAIN.

Today is a funny day because if everything had gone to plan we would have left Gran Canaria for Cape Verde with ARC+.  According to the website 43 boats left at 1300 in a brisk downwind breeze so we wish them bon voyage and hope they have a fantastic journey.
